I almost forgot why I want to be an engineer in the first place. It was what i've always wanted to be one since I was a kid. I've even decided to be one even when I don't know what an engineer actually do. I've always mistaken them for a mechanic or a technician. But it's not too far off really, coz engineers are suppose to be better than technicians. What technicians knows or do, engineers knows it better...or do better...all technician's job should be at engineers' fingertips. Well, that's the ideal engineer. At my plant, not all are like this...they're too busy with paperworks and procurement issues rather than dealing with the plant. Which makes their job becomes boring. I went to see my guys yesterday as they were opening up (overhaul) the boiler feed pump, which happens to be the biggest pump in our plant. It was really interesting seeing how they disassembled the thing, just like playing lego which is a really fun thing to do when you were a kid. But in this case, it's much much more complicated, more expensive, bigger and heavier than lego. It requires skills and experience to do this job fast and efficently. And I’d have to say that my guys are really up to it. So now, how in the hell do you acquire those skills and experience when you are busy dating with your computer!!? I have to admit though that my colleagues are struggling with their paperwork jobs that they have little time to go into the plant. You see, the pump that I said just now gets to overhaul once every 5 years. How rare is the chance? And after five years, you may already be a senior engineer which is worse when u think that u did not spend 1 hour of your time to see ur guys at the plant 5 years ago..how are u going to be better than ur technicians as u go up the ranks? This is the problem at my plant...u can only be better than someone when you be and surpassed that someone...to be continue….
Yeaa...another family member pursuing degree in Actuarial Science @ University of Wisconsin @ USA @ 3 years.. Way to go Shanaz!... He told me the journey from here is around 24hours!!..from Malaysia - Taipei - LA - Detroit - Madison.. This September 11, my ONE & ONLY lovely sister going to pursue her PHD in Finance & Accounting @ UK. @ 3 years..another sad scene at Airport..huhuhuhu...
Graduation day.. Congratulations to Hilal!!! yea yea yea.. It was fun seeing all the graduates wearing robes & holding scroll. Deep inside my heart, there is a small feelings on wanting to further my study to master.. but thinking of going back to lecture hall, doing assignments, examination..huhuhuhu..i don't think that i still have the courage to do it..hehehe poyo laa.. We bought him flowers & small bear. Although at first, hubby seems not really agree of buying his youngest brother a flower. He told me that the flowers are only meant for ladies. I was disagree, to me it was a victory symbolic. I don't think hilal ashamed of holding the flowers. Was he?? ..hehehe i not so sure laa..I still remember when we were graduated, i wanted to buy him flowers, and as expected he's a bit reluctant a receive it. I think he took it just to take care of my feelings..(lelaki sejati???)..hehehe.. Hilal told me that this convocation was not soo memorable due to most of his die hard friends were still in 'perjuangan'..Pity him..i know how does it feels like. Anyway, life must goes on right?!! After this, welcome to the world whereby the challenges are triple compares to our study time..
This convocation day really reminds me of UNITEN..it reminds me of :- a) My Good Old Friends - Wanie, Rin, Nani, Sara, Hani, Suriya,Farah, Azda, Hazel, Keane, Aki, Erwan, Pospon, Najib, Kecik Adnin, Anjer, Zarul, botak, Anas, Tok, Ijan ...etc... b) Fasting Month - Sahur, bukak puasa, Hari Raya 'Open Hse' c) Jalan - jalan cari makan with the 'geng' d) Examination time - study group - betul2 study ker?? - Library?? e) Bercuti - Melaka, Port Dickson, Pulau Tioman, Pulau Pangkor, Genting Highland f) Last but not least meeting my soulmates - Mohamed Nadzir@ Cha..:)
It started with August last year when i was first assigned to SEGAMAT COMPRESSOR STATION for ONLY 2 MONTHS to help my senior QA/QC Engineer on documentation works at site. Unfortunately, due to too many outstanding works that need to be done, i was stuck here for 1 year!!!..huhuhuhu...from 2 months, then 3 months, then another 3 months, then another 2 months, then another 3 months..until now......
Since then, i consider myself as a weekend housewife...to tell you the truth, it was not easy being away from my hubby..maybe because we are still in the early stage of being husband & wife..stage whereby we are in the process of living together..adapt on each other 'real' character..
I guess that i am lucky to have a very understanding husband eventhough i know it's hard for him to accept that i am always away from him..Currently, during weekdays he's responsible on all houseworks like cleaning, washing clothes (i bought him an electrolux washing machine last 2 months just to 'amik hati' him to wash all the clothes..hehehehe), cooking even buying groceries..
One thing i realise that being away from the loves one will make your love become stronger & appreciate toward times spending together.
To my lovely hubby, thank you for being there when i need you the most..thanks a lot for being soo understanding on my work carrier...can't wait to be back at USJ for Good!
Hooray!!!! Time to fly off for HONEYMOON.. I think Honeymoon is the time that all newly wedd couple waiting for... Hmmm...hmmmm....
After 3 weeks planning + preparation..i am proud to say that i get a real good bargain for my vacation..thanks to Hubby for being soo patient on my planning...
Flight to Gold Coast (Air Asia) = RM 1800 (Returns ticket) Accomodation at Costa D'ora self cooking apartment = AUD 80 per night x 7 days (20th April - 27 April) = RM1680 Transportation = AUD 150 @ 4 days include airport transfer = RM450 Meals + Shopping + Dreamworld entrance = RM1000 So total we spent around RM 4930 for 7 days self customized package..
Our wedding date supposed to be on 08.03.08 but due to clashes with election day, it was postponed to April 2008..the election date was annouced on 14th February 2008..can u imagine that a lot of cancellation need to be done!!
Caterer...andaman...hantaran...Hall rental....photography ...and the hardest part of all were the Guests (As most of the invitation have been sent out)..
At time i feel soo sad...i don't feel like talking to anyone...smiling...even sleeping..but life must goes on..
i need to wake up as it's all about my future life..

Alhamdullilah..during the ceremony..everything goes smoothly and fine..My best Uniten's frens Rin, Wanie, Hazel, Azda, Datin Nani, Yati & Farah came all the way from KL just to attend the wedding..Thanks a lot Dear...

I started to know Nadzir (Cha) during pursuing my Degree at UNITEN. He's character is damn different compared to me..but i think it's true on what other's used to say..differences make ur life more interesting..
He is soo quiet..like to listen more than talking, not a sweet talker too...not a romantic person (unless i forced him to be!), patient against my 'GEDIK'..huhuhu 1st degree drama queen...
Loves sport cars + GT Japan race queen..(he actually took more than 300pics on race queens!! but only 150++ pics on Cars!)..what does that mean?!!
